Current Facilities

At present we meet at Bewerley Park outdoor education centerNr, Pateley Bridge in North Yorkshire. The center offers us both indoor accommodation and extensive camping facilities for one week during the summer, usually the first week in August. The site offers meeting rooms, classrooms and a large dining room where we meet for Mass, prayer and praise, the talks and many of our social gatherings especially when the weather isn’t kind. There are also drying rooms, toilets and showers, pot washing facilities and a games room available with supervised access. The site also offers a number of supervised activities including high ropes courses, raft building, bush-craft, and walking which we take full advantage of.

We also offer each other lots of small things to try to increase the comfort and convenience of the week. There is a milk delivery, ice blocks are refrozen, the community tent offers cooking and tea making facilities as well as a place to meet on the field. Several meals during the week are eaten as a community, we have a cream tea, an ice cream day and even a visit from a fish and chip van!
